Mitsubishi Repair: 2003 Gallant, turn signals, steering wheel

Question
Sometimes my turn signals and wipers will not come on.
It seems that if if make a strong turn of the steering wheel is when it happens.  I can immediately put the car in park and turn it off and back on and the signal/wipers will now work.  The signal is on one side of steering wheel and the wipers are on the other.  While they are not working I checked my hazzard light and it will work.  I can sometimes hit the top of steering wheel base and it will turn on and it then wont quit blinking even after it is off.  Please help???

Answer
Michelle: I would say you have a short in your steering column and for that you will need to take the car into a shop to get them to find the problem. Because your car has a air bag there too, that you have to becareful not to set that off. So a shop or dealership is your best bet to get this fixed. If you let it go, one of these times it will not come back on. God bless:Linda
