Mitsubishi Repair: remote programming, eclipse gs, little car

hi i just bought a 1999 eclipse GS and dose not have a remote for the door to open but when you lock the car with the key all the lock's will LOCK..so i bought a remote from ebay nut still i wont work i follow the programing instruction that they gave me...so anybody how know about this please help me what to do...thanks

Lawrence: My though here would be that you are not getting it hooked up just right. These little car has some odd wiring at times. You need to go out and buy yourself a repair manual for your car, most parts stores have them and they cost around $20.00. In that repair manual will be wiring diagrams so then you could see where you should be hooking things up and where all the wiring goes. The problem with the programing instructions is they just don't seem to work for the Eclipse but a wiring diagram would lead you down the right path. Oh hey try to get an Haynes repair manual as they have less years and models. Hope this helps and God bless: Linda
