Mitsubishi Repair: No Spark and no fuel pump sound, fuse box, battery cable

Question
My car won't start.  You can usually hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key on, but it is not happening.  There is no spark.  It died on me while I was driving home.  It is a 2001 Galant 2.4L.  The starter will turn, lights, and radio will also work.  Can you help?

Answer
Kenny,
You may have a blown ignition or fuel injection fuse.  Check all the large fuses that may be attached to your positive battery cable and in your main fuse box under your hood.  This fuse usually blows when it detects a problem with fuel system (e.g. your fuel pump stopped working).  Have those items checked and you may find your problem.
Good luck!
