Mitsubishi Repair: car wont stay started, mistubishi eclipse, air intake system

my 1997 mistubishi eclipse 4-cylinder 2.0L non-turbo RS will start and remain running for 3 to 5 seconds and then completely die off. Do you have any suggestions on what i should do?

This usually happens when you car is choking for air or fuel.  You can try the easy fixes like replacing your air filter and fuel filter.  Beyond that, you should have your entire air intake system inspected and your fuel pump and rest of the fuel system inspected.
