Mitsubishi Repair: 1997 montero sport 3.0L, radiator fluid, montero sport

Question
I had head work done on my montero and the radiator fluid had to be changed. Now there is alot of air in the lines in and around the heator core eveytime you start the suv and drive it sounds like water flowing in the dash. Are there bleeder areas that will leach out the access air. I tried running the engine with the radiator cap off to try and let it air our that way but it did not work. Would appreciate any suggestions. The suv does not overheat or get hot. The heater does work with no problem.

Answer
Monica: Take the suv back to whoever did the work and explain to them what is going on. Because they should have got all the air out of the system. This is not something you can do yourself. They should have kept adding fluid to the suv till they got most of that air out of those lines. You need to put your foot down and get them to do their work right. They have not put in the right amount of fluid, due to all that air in the lines. So you bought more fluid in when you came to their shop for the work, then you left with because of all the air in the lines. It could be it has something to do with you being a female. Most shops do not treat women very good. No matter if it bothers with the heater or that the suv does not heat. It did not do this before you got it worked on and so it should not do it after. I hope this helps and God bless: Linda
