Mitsubishi Repair: idle problems, mitsubishi mirage, vacuum leak

hi 1994 Mitsubishi mirage. sometimes it wont idle at low revs, stalls sometimes when reversing and when car warms up it will rev to high. note this does not happen all the time. any help would be greatly appreciated thank you and god bless.

Mark: You should have the car coded to see what the computer is doing about all this. As you could have a bad computer, as your car is the right year for the bad computers, or it could be a sensor getting weak and so not feeding the computer the right thoughts and so the computer is not setting the engine right. Reason for the on again and off again thought. Or it could be a vacuum leak but still with it doing it sometimes but not always, still points to the computer, as Mitsubishi farmed the building of their computers to another company which did not build very good ones, a piece in the computer will start with time to leak into the computer and it will kill off that computer. Sometimes this shows up with poor off and on again idle. So getting the computer would show if the computer was sick or if it was more on the order of a weak sensor or sensors. If when you start the car, you can hear a noise in the dash or sometimes you can smell a burning smell from the computer. But then something you don't get anything, so I guess the only way to know is get that computer coded. That is where you take the car to a shop, they hook your car's computer up to their inshop computer and a reading is kicked out as to what is going on with the car.
