Mitsubishi Repair: car keeps dying, check air filter, mitsubishi montero

Question
We have a 1992 Mitsubishi Montero. There is a clicking noise coming from the passenger side of the vehicle then it dies whether going down the road or sitting idle. Then after several tries it clicks again and cranks back. It usually has to sit for several minutes first. After putting some good gas in it seems to run better for a few days but then it starts all over again. When it dies it seems to not be getting any gas and we think it could be some sort of relay but not sure which one or where to find it. We already changed the fuel filter.

Answer
Do the following.

1. Check air filter
2. check the connections on the starter and battery and alternator. Or bring your car to a local parts store and they will test them free.
It is possible it could be a MFI Relay but seldom do they go.
