Mitsubishi Repair: Car wont Start, car wont start, fuel pumps

hi, my car stalled at the lights and since then she will turn over but not start. she has spark (the igniton coil, distributor and rotor have all been replaced) the motor was reconditioned only 3 months ago. the timing belt is fine and the timing is fine. i am not sure of the fule pump, i can hear a click when i turn her on and off but i can not hear any other noise. what do you think?

Kyle: You need to have the fuel pump tested to make sure it is putting out enough fuel when you are trying to start your car. You should replace the fuel filter also. You do not put down the year or model so I can only guess on things. But you should also have the car coded as to see what the computer might kick out at you as to the problem of this. If your car is older say in the 90's model it might a bad or weak sensor some place as those start to go as the cars get older. With the high cost of fuel we are replacing more fuel pumps, as the fuel is what keeps the fuel pump cool. But people are trying to get every gal out of that fuel, so they run their cars down to empty. Do that enough with time you will cook that fuel pump. So always try to keep 1/4 of tank in the car at all times. But I know that can be hard too. I do hope this helps and God bless: Linda
