Mitsubishi Repair: 2003 Mitsu Eclipse, emergency brake, similar sound

In error I ramped up my engine attempting to drive with my emergency brake up and had to replace a motor mount.  Even with the mount repaired I am still experiencing a similar sound on the front end, there's a popping when I stop and go.  I've had it checked again, but haven't found the problem.  Can you give me an idea of some things that might have been affected by me trying to drive on the emergency brake?  Thanks!

Shamika: I have drove with my emergency brake on too it is easy to do. But I would take the car to a shop and have them replace the cable, and check the end where it comes out at on the car. All you would have done is burn out the cable and maybe shorten the life of your brake pads. But the cable would have let go long before to much damage was done. So get the car to a dealership, explain to them what you did and ask they to check the whole park brake. Hope this helps and God bless: Linda
