Mitsubishi Repair: 94 Eclipse alternator belt, mitsubishi eclipse gs, mitsubishi eclipse

Linda, my alternator belt broke on my mitsubishi eclipse GS (94). Is it hard to put another one on? It seems like I would have to remove quite a bit to get to it from the top. Is there an easier way to put the belt on?

Lee: Sorry nothing on these little cars is easy to do. I would say you should go out and buy yourself a repair manual for your car. Haynes is a good one to get, they have pictures and explain "how to" do things. That way if you run into some kind of problem, you will not have to wait on me to answer that. I was sick with the flu is the reason this is so late in coming, but the best way I know for changine an alternator belt is to read up how to do it in the repair manual, it might show you a trick or two. Most parts stores have these manuals and they cost around $20.00, well worth the money. Hope this helps and God bless: Linda
