Mitsubishi Repair: mitsubishi montero leaking at harmonic 1992 3.0l, mitsubishi montero, flat steel

Oil leaking from behind the harmonic balancer. Local dealer unable to supply me with a diagram or part to show where a front seal would be between the balancer ant the front covers. it has a flat steel plate but that doesn't seal the oil from pouring out when the engine is running. any ideas?

Bill: Have you tried to buy a repair manual for this car? Such as one from Haynes? Most parts stores have them, they sell for around $20.00 and well worth the money. If not that then I guess I would see what you might find on line. I don't work that much on Montero's. Mostly Eclipses. But I know a good repair manual goes along ways. And Haynes is a good one with a lot of pictures, they will walk you through something and explain the whys as well as the hows of what they are doing. I wish I had better news for you.
