Mitsubishi Repair: New key programming, mitsubishi dealer, galant

Hi Linda, I have a 2003 MMC Galant and I need to program a new key.  My manual says I must have 2 keys to program the key but since I lost one key I only have one left.  I didn't know about this 2 key bug before:(  Isn't there a way for me to program my new key without having two keys?  I hate going to the Mitsubishi dealer here in Iceland and pay him about 300$ for programming it for me, I already paid 130$ for the key itself.

Einar: Sorry but the only way I know how to program a new key is through a dealership and they are very high on their cost for this. Which really is not fair, I don't think. You might check on line, maybe you could find a company that does that too. But I fear you will have to pay out that high cost of money to get that second key to work in your car. Or just go with one key. I had that happen here in the states, it is very costly here too. So I just lived with just one key, because I was not going to pay that high cost for coding a key.
