Mitsubishi Repair: SRS Light, air bags, airbag

Question
I was driving to my mothers today and my SRS light came on and stayed on. I lookes it up in the book that was in the car when I bought it and it said that it was something to do with the airbag. I dont have money to take to the dealership. What can I do?

Answer
Sueann: If this is your mother's car, why not let her take the car in. It is not something to mess with. There is a problem in with the sensors that control the air bags. Might just need to replace the sensors or maybe even the wiring. If you don't get this fixed, if you were in a crash the air bags would not open as they should. Or they might come on all on their own. So please get the car in to get this fixed, messing with air bags is not something you want to do. Only a shop will have to fix this for you. You will have to explain to the shop or dealership that you don't have much money. Most places will set up payment plans and try to work with you as much as they can. I hope this helps and God bless: Linda
