Mitsubishi Repair: 2001 mirage alterantor, fusible links, alternator

my alterantor isn't charging , is the a fuse for the alternator ?
and where is it located?

There are 2 fusible links for the alternator. Link #2 (100A) and Link #4 (40A) They are located in the power distribution box under the hood. I would verify that you had 12V (assuming your battery is charged) at the two red wires (one larger than the other) at the back of the alternator when the key is on. If not, you are looking for a power supply problem, if you do, then you'll be diagnoising the PCM circuit. The alternator charge is controlled by the PCM. Of course, you could pull the alternator and have it tested, but that won't determine the cause if it checks out okay.
