Mitsubishi Repair: diagnostic cylinder Valve Failure v6, valve failure, leak down test

Question
How do you  do diagnostic for cylinder Valve Failure 3.0l Sohc v6, Had a belt Failure and can't seem to get it to run well.
Don't know if I have a bent Valve?

Answer
Chris,
Bent valves can be indicated by a compression test.  Along with a compression test, you can have a leak-down test performed as well. Usually, if a fan belt breaks, that won't cause bent valves.  But if your timing belt failed, that can cause your timing to get thrown off and for your valves to get bent.  I would recommend having a mechanic inspect the timing.
Good luck!
