Mitsubishi Repair: pajero brake lights, problem thanks, fuse

I have a 91 Pajero, it has been great, but the latest problem is that the brake lights wont switch off at all. I have to remove the fuse to prevent my battery going flat, and it is not safe to drive without functional brake lights. I thought perhapse the electric trasiler brake system was to blame, but disconnecting it has not solved the problem. Thanks, El.

El: Why not check the switch that controls those lights, I would say it is stuck and so bad. And so it keeps the lights on all the time. You need to get the car into a shop someplace and have them check that switch. Hope this helps and God bless: Linda
