Mitsubishi Repair: Eagle Summit 1992 1.5 L, eagle summit, strenght

The other day my son was driving hid Eagle Summit 1992 Summit 1.5 L and as he headed toward a stop sign the car stopped working.  Since then, I have tried to started without much success.  When I turn the car on it does something but it does not turn over the motor.  The strenght of the battery continues to be strong.  It's just one click from starting but it doesn't.  The battery is good.  I check my fuses and they were good.  Last year I changed the spark plugs.  Any ideas as where to go next? I am not a mechanic but something tells that the problem may have to do something with the fuel system...help.

Jose: You know the fuel is what keeps the fuel pump cool. If you run the car down to about nothing to much, with time you will cook that pump. So I would have the pump tested. But you also should code the car, as it is the right year for the bad computers. It could be the computer has died. The computer controls everything in that car, so if it is bad, it will not run. Also has the timing belt ever been changed? It could be it is bad or has broken. There are some ideas to check. Hope they help and God bless: Linda
