Mitsubishi Repair: 99 Diamante ABS, new sensor, diamante

Question
Hey, I have a question on the Anti-Lock light and TCL Off light coming on.  I took it to the dealer and they said it was the left rear sensor.  I had that replaced and both the lights are still on.  Does the computer or something need to be restarted for the car to recognize the new sensor or is there something else going on here?  I would appreciate any help.  The left rear sensor already cost me a good deal of money.  Thanks

Answer
Bryan: Part of the job of replacing a sensor is to clear the computer. I would take the car back to the dealer and ask them to do this; for free mind you. But other wise you could try taking the neg cable off the battery for 5 minutes and then replacing the cable. That is to clear the computer, if that does not work. Then take the car back to that dealer and tell them you think they put in a bad sensor. Remember now you spent a lot of good money for this job and so they should be taking care of this with the computer. I hope this helps and God bless: Linda
