Mitsubishi Repair: coolant levels, coolant levels, mitsubishi diamante

Question
i have a 95 mitsubishi diamante DOHC (V6) and the coolant in the car seems to be going out very fast...it seems like every other day i have to fill up with antifreeze....theres no exterior leak so im assuming its an interior leak...is there anything i can do to fix it on my own or should i just get it pressure tested before it becomes a major problem. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks for your time...

Answer
If you aren't leaking it externally, it is going out the tailpipe. Most likely a head gasket has failed. Pulling the spark plugs will likely indicate which cylinder has failed and thus which cylinder head needs to be removed. A pretty common problem. When the leak get's bad enough, it could fill the cylinder, cause a hyrdolock condition which will bend a connecting rod and even destroy the motor. I wouldn't delay on this if you are adding fluid on a regular basis.
