Mitsubishi Repair: overheating, dash board, transmission fluid

Question
my mitsubishi feels like the gear box is overheating [ auto]
in the car feels very hot and dash board near the gear stick but none off the dials are  coming up hot

Annika: I would check the transmission fluid to see where it is, level wise, color is it pink in color or mixed with brown or all brown. Then have the fluid, filter replaced and put in some conditioner for transmissions in with that change. If the gear box feels like it is overheating, then I believe that would mean that the fluid in the transmission is having a problem. So try the change but a shop will have to do that for you but be sure to tell them to put in that conditioner for the transmission too. Hope this helps and God bless: Linda
