Mitsubishi Repair: 2004 Mitsubishi Galant, 2004 mitsubishi galant, headlight alignment

Question
One of my headlights on the drivers side is too low on the road.  I looked for a screw to move it up and to the right and I can't find one.  Is there one?  I also wanted to put brighter light bulbs in so I can see better at night and I wanted to know if the car would hold something like that or if I would need to put a relay switch in it.  Thank you, Dan

Answer
Dan,
I'm not positive about the headlight alignment.  Some newer cars need to be calibrated from the dealership, but you may find some information on how to do it yourself from the owners manual.

When installing brighter bulbs, there are a few things to consider.  Some states have laws against bulbs that are too bright.  Though rarely enforced, I have had a few friends get pulled over because of the brightness of their bulbs.  Also, brighter bulbs draw a greater power from your battery.  If your charging system isn't working properly, your battery will wear down prematurely and take power away from other crucial systems like you fuel pump.  And even if you put in another relay system to drive your lights, you'll have to be mindful of the gauge of wires going to your harness.  If they are too thin it will melt the insulation and possibly cause a short circuit or even fire.  So be careful if you attempt to use brighter bulbs.
Good luck!
