Mitsubishi Repair: 2000 Galant turnsigna/bright lights, lever switch, radio code

Recently I have had a problem with the bright lights coming on by themselves or when I use the turn signal. This has caused my battery to run down. I saw a recall that matches this description, but not sure if it is the lever/switch issue or not. AND now the radio won't come back on, it says code - I have no idea where to get that code. Any ideas???

Kathy, There is a TSB (SR-99-003) that addresses this very issue. You will have to contact the dealer with the VIN number to see if it has been corrected. The switch seems like the very best culprit.  When the battery discharged it did set the radio code. You MAY need to get the serial number off of the radio, which will require removal. Also, you can look in the owner's manual, as many times it is written down in there for the owner's convenience.
