Mitsubishi Repair: 1995 Mits 3000 GT, computer resets, distributor cap

Car ran out of gas... bad on me! I put more gas in and now it won't start. It turns over great but won't start. No carb for me to prime, are there any other tricks? Help!

J: Your car is control by a computer, and could be by running out of fuel; you messed up that computer. So I would try reset the computer, take the neg cable off the battery, wait 5 minutes and put it back on. See if the computer resets its self. If that does not work, try taking the distributor cap loose, then turn it to the left or to the right; see if the car will start then. When it the last time you did a good tune up on this car? Sometimes it just needs that to start too, that fact that you ran out of fuel really has nothing to do with the problem. I would have the car coded too, as it might be a problem with the computer or one of the many sensors your car has. I hope this helps and God bless: Linda
