Mitsubishi Repair: 98 Galant code P1750, selonoid, newer cars

Question
I have a 98 Galant 2.4 with a P1750 code. Selonoid assmbly. Where is this locsated and can I do a backyard repair ? I`ve worked on older cars from age 12 to age 50. I`m 59 now, and newer cars are a pain. Where does the harness for this run from and to ? Where does it hook up on the tranny ? I may have a voltage problem or loose or bad connection. I always look for the cheapest and simpelest repair first.

Answer
Jim:I could not find my book on codes today, I think I know who has it and so I will get the book to find out what this code is. And then will write back with the hows and whys on fixing it. I am really sorry that it has taken me so long to get back to you. But a long day. But I will try to write more on Friday night. I understand about the cheapest and simple repair for things. But these newer cars is really a pain to work on, I too try to stay with the older ones. But even some of them have the computer that controls everything. About drives me to drink at times. I too started working on cars at the age of 14 and am now 55. So let me get that book and I promise I shall write back to you when I know a bit better on this. God bless now: Linda

Jim: I got my book finely but it turns out to be to old for your car. I am sure that as long as it took me to track down the book, you have got the answer to this problem and fix it. I am sorry that it took me this long to get back to you. If not if this is in the transmission I would have a shop fix it. Because these newer transmissions are pretty hard to fix, even with it just being a bad sensor someplace.
