Question
my turbos make a high pitched whine between 3500 an 4000 rpms. car is stock except for k&n cold air intake. drove it from ohio to fl no problems put on cold air, then have problem. is it the intake? or is there something wrong with turbo? sounds like drivers side is only one doing it but cant be certain. any and all advice is appreciated GREATLY. thanks in advance, AE.

Answer
Arthur: Got to say I don't work much on turbos, but if after you put that cold air intake on your car, the problem started. I would be checking the intake, maybe it has a break or small hole in it; so the whine. Sounds like the turbos worked fine all the way from Ohio but you then added the K & N cold air intake and now the whine. So you know you  could have got a bad intake, maybe you should try getting another K & N intake and see if you still get the whine or not. If not then I would say that the intake is bad. You said the sounds is only on the driver's side of the car so I would be checking that side of the intake. Now like I said I don't work on turbos that much and really have no idea what a K & N cold air intake is. So I am only reading what you wrote and then throwing out ideas. I hope this helps some and God bless: Linda
