Mitsubishi Repair: 94 3000gt sl electric problem, gauge cluster, battery work

i traded my 97 eclipse rs for a 94 3000gt sl and the car runs great but i just have one problem since i got got and just started to notice it.. out of no where my headlight burn out so i replaced it.. today i was coming back home from work i was going 70mph and i notice my gauge cluster started to light up too much and my headlight also and the antilock light came on.. i slow down and everything when back to nornal, i gain up speed and the same problem happen again.. gauge cluster light and headlight lighted up so much, i thought i had it on hibean but once i click on the hibean switch the light just couldnt hold all the power and burn out my hibean lights. and i just dont kno what might be the problem.. all i know before i got the car the guy replace the gauge cluster cause the last one broke and dont know why.. once i got the car i haded to replace the alternator..

Gustavo: You have to have one hell of a short in that car someplace. Where I don't know, so you will need to buy youself a repair manual for your car the one you have now, most parts stores have them for around $20.00 and a voltmeter. Starting with the battery; work around the car till you find the problem. The repair manual will tell you the readings you will need to be getting at different spot on the engine and the wiring. Something is sending to much power through things, there could be a bad relay or more, out. Then there could have been something rewired on the car and not done right. So you need to find out what is going on. Linda
