Mitsubishi Repair: pajero steering wheel removal, steering wheel, screws and bolts

Question
how do i go about removing the steering wheel of my pajero, i think its a montero in the u.s. its equipped with an airbag.  the leather's chipped off and i want to send it for repairs.thank you

Answer
Francisco: You need to take the car to a shop to have them remove that airbag for you. If you don't do this, you run the chance of setting the air bag off and that could be deadly. Once the airbag is removed, you will see the screws and bolts that hold the steering wheel on to the car. You should go out and buy yourself a repair manual for your car it will walk you through things too. Most parts stores have them. Hope this helps and good luck! Linda
