Mitsubishi Repair: Mitsubishi starting problems, mitsubishi galant, crank sensor

my mitsubishi galant GDI 1999 model has a starting problem everytime i crank it,it never starts the first time i crank, it takes 2 cranks to get it started,and it has a slight smoking problem,please help

Dilraj: When is the last time you did a tune up on this car. Not sure if your car has a distributor or not but if it does then in that is a crank sensor. If it has been a long while for that tune up, that sensor is getting dirty and not hitting the rotor like it should. So I would go do a good tune up on the car and I would say you would see the differents after that tune up. Oh make sure with the tune up to do an oil change and change the air filter too.
