Mitsubishi Repair: GDI, mitsubishi dion, high pressure pump

Question
have a 2000 GDI mitsubishi Dion that keeps stalling when taking off at half to full throttle say when overtaking.u have to release the gas or gradually work ua way up till it gains momentum.highly suspect the cam driven high pressure pump,if so what do i need to do.

Tango: You should be able to find a garage or shop that could check the pressure of this pump to make sure it is putting out enough fuel to keep your car zipping down the road. If it is that high pressure pump, you will have to have the replaced. But let a garage, shop or dealership do this. As you need the right kind of tools and time to get it done right.
