Mitsubishi Repair: Mivic Colt, loud sound, gearbox

I have a 99' mivic colt & lately when im driving it, it starts roaring really load for no reason could this be something to do with my gearbox??

Julie: This question is a bit hard to answer. Is your car hard to shift? Does it miss gears, slips in or out of gear or all you have is the loud sound? I would have the exhaust of the car checked, you might have a hole it that someplace. And when you give the car more gas, so that the engine puts out more exhaust well there would be your sound. Unless your car is not shifting right, or slipping or is missing gears. I would say your gearbox is fine. But have that exhaust checked. I hope this helps and good luck! Linda
