Mitsubishi Repair: starting issue, vacuum leak, right reading

Question
I have a 99 galant that has an issue starting when it has sat for longer then 48 hours. It runs perfect besides this issue and will start once I crank the engine for a minute. Once it starts it runs perfect with no check engine light, and no errors. Plugs and wires are new....tough one...

Answer
Erid: I did check around a bit on your car, hoping that there was a recall on this or something. But no luck there. I would have the car coded to rule out any problems with a weak sensor or the computer. It sounds like a problem with a sensor that is in the air cleaner area. In that the computer is not getting the right reading and so does not mix the fuel with the air right; so the car can start without a problem. If the coding does not show anything, write me again. Also a friend just said it could be a problem with a vacuum leak too. But still I shall do a bit more checking on this car. Oh sometimes even if there is a problem with the computer or one of its sensors it does not always show up with a check engine light. Hope this helps and good luck! ~Linda~
