Mitsubishi Repair: 1994 Montero wont start when hot, intake air temperature sensor, intake air temperature

Question
During the day when it's hot, I can strat it first thing and drive.  After the engine is hot, it will not start for about an hour or so until it cools back down.  It makes one click and that's it.  All battery related functions are fine - lights radio or whatever.  At night when it is cool, this problem does not seem to occur.  A friend told me it sounded like a sensor.  Any ideas?

Answer
Rodney: You need to have the car coded, that is where they hook their computer up to your car's computer. It will kick any problems the computer is reading in the system. Could be a weak or bad sensor. Could be your have a vacuum leak. Manual says check these things... air filter oh hey there is a sensor in there too, it is called Intake Air Temperature sensor. Fuel not reaching the fuel injection system, corroded battery connections, especially ground. This give you some ideas to try and hope they help. Good luck! ~Linda~
