Answer
Michael: When you bought the new motor did you also get the computer that went with it? Because the computer in your car does not talk to this new motor. So would say you problem is with the computer which is still in your car, it is setting up this new motor to run like the old motor but they are different. You need to have the computer in your car coded to see where it is at. What sensors it is not setting now with this other engine. Or find out what engine you got, numbers and all; then buy a computer to go with the new engine. The computer pulls all it's ideas off all the sensors in and around the engine; then sets the way the engine will run from that. Your car is the right year for the bad computers too, Mitsubishi farmed out the building of their computers to another company. That company did not build very good ones and with time a piece in the computer will start to leak into the computer. So with time it kills off the computer. So could be your car's computer is bad too. So check the computer. Hope this helps and good luck! Linda
