Mitsubishi Repair: windows not working, eclipse spyder, spyder

i have a 96 eclipse spyder and my windows wont go up or down just the drivers window works but when i hold the switch to put the top down i can put up and down all windows will holding the switch tho if i let it go the windows wont function .what do you think may be the problem

Hector: Sounds like to me, you have a problem in that switch. Or could be a the wires covers have wore through and so there is a kind of short. I would remove the door panel and check to see what is going on with those wires. Should also check the switch. Should get yourself a repair manual for your car, most parts stores sell them for around $20.00. So in that manual would be a diagram for the wiring to both your top and the windows of your car. That might explain a lot to you. I hope this helps and good luck! Linda
