Mitsubishi Repair: Replacing fog light - 2003 Eclipse GTS, fog light, fog lights

Hello Linda,

This is the second time this has happened, but the protective glass cap on one of my fog lights on my 2003 Eclipse GTS shattered.  The first time this had happened, I was under warranty and the dealer replaced the whole part.  Now, I'm out of warranty, and want to know how easy/hard it is to do it myself?  From what I remembered, the dealer charged a good deal of money to replace the part.  And they can't just replace the glass cap.

Sam: I think if I was you, I would just go out and buy new fog lights. Then put them in, I have no idea where you could buy just the glass for that fog light and it would be costly I am sure. But if you got a repair manual for your car, most parts stores sell them. It might explain what you need to know. I really don't do that kind of work on Eclipses and mostly work on older ones.
