Mitsubishi Repair: 2001 Galant Anti Theft Radio Code, mitsubishi dealership, 4 digits

I have an 01 Galant, manual that I recently replaced the battery on. As you know once you disconnect the battery the radio doesn't work unless you input the anti theft code. Well the code does not work.The code is 3212 and when I input 321 the display shows 000. then when I input the last 2 the display shows 010. And pressing the CD button as the manual tells me to does nothing. When I input 1234 to see what the display shows, I get 0000 and when I press the CD key I get an error. Its like the radio is not taking all 4 digits of the proper code as is should. Any suggestions?

I would suggest calling the service department at the Mitsubishi dealership.  Many times, those guys can offer helpful tips for free. Though sometimes they are reluctant to give up this information because they want business of you bringing in your car for service.  The service department can also verify that the code you have is the correct one.
