Mitsubishi Repair: Replacing rear vent window in 2000 Mirage, vent window, rear vent

Question
My son needed to break the rear vent window on the driver's side after locking his keys in the car.  How do I replace? We have the rubber gasket out but don't know what to do next.

Answer
Donna: You will have to try and get a repair manual for your car. Most parts stores have them, that would lead you in how to replace that window. You will have to either order another window from a body shop or pick one up at a junk yard. I would go with the junk yard, as they are cheaper there. Really with that manual it would explain better to you and show you pictures as what to do next. Though most windows are not hard to replace to keep them from leaking is often the hard thing to do. You might have to let a shop do this for you. But check that manual, I did check in mine but could not find anything on your car and that vent window. Wish I could do more to help. Linda. Ps: You might check with the junk yard when you get the different window, they will often help you too.
