Mitsubishi Repair: timing belt install, mitsubishi eclipses, haynes manuals

I am installing a timing belt on a 2002 lancer. I need to know where the timing marks are and how they line up.

Lee; You will not be happy with my answer but you need to buy yourself a repair manual and it will tell you how to do this but have pictures too which will help you do this. At times doing those timing belts can be very hard to find those marks. Hopefully you have not removed the old belt yet and so you can then see by it how the new one should go on. I mostly work on older Mitsubishi Eclipses and that is where my repair manuals are at. You can buy a repair manual for your car at most parts stores for around $20.00. I like the Haynes manuals myself. I do hope this helps you some and good luck! Linda
