Mitsubishi Repair: Ignition wire Lancer GLXi 1.6 98-mod, haynes manuals, car ignition

Question
Hi, I am trying to install a handsfree-set for my cellphone. However, when wiring up the system there is a cable that is to be connected to the ignition of the car, "ignition sense". How can I differ between the four cables coming out of the ignition cylinder? There are one blue wire, one blue wire with a black stripe, one white wire and one black with a yellow stripe. I could not find any similar questions formerly asked in this forum, so I take the liberty of asking it myself, and hope you are able to answer :)
On beforehand, thanks a lot! Excellent forum btw! :)

Answer
Audun: Oh wow, I would love to help you, really I would. But I work mostly on Eclipses but I got to say with all the questions I have had of late about Lancers I guess I better buy myself a book. But mean while, you need to buy yourself a repair manual, one of your car and year. Most parts stores sell them for around $20.00 the nice thing is they have wiring diagrams in those manuals would explain so much to you. I like the Haynes manuals myself but Chilton works good too. I know this is not the help you were looking for, but you could get a test light and find out which wire has the power in it. With the key on and with the key off. Why are you wiring this into the ignition? But you need a light tester and then you could find the wire with power and then ground the handsfree-set to a ground. Something like a screw or something like that. But still the manual would be a good way to go, too. Sorry I am not much help today, I've got the flu. Do hope this helps some... Linda
