Question
hi. i am doing the head gasket on my l200. the job itself is no problem as i used to be in the trade, however, i am having trouble locating a manual to tell me the torque settings for retightening the head. can you help?

Answer
Steven,
The L200 was not a model sold in the US.  Though it was brought over in the late 80's/early 90's as the Mighty Max, and just recently reintroduced as the Raider.  I do not have any experience with that vehicle.  Though most Mitsu engines need to be originally torqued to about 90 ft-lbs.  Driven easy for a few days, then retorqued to about 85 ft-lbs.  Again, that's just with my experience with Mitsu autos that I've worked on.  Your best bet would be to obtain a factory service manual.  Most dealerships will sell you a printing of it.
Good luck!
