Mitsubishi Repair: 95 GST Will Not Start, fuel pump relay, crank sensor

Question
QUESTION: After rebuilding my motor i cant seem to get my car to start. i have replaced the cam sensor and the crank sensor , the fuel pump relay, fuel pump, did a fuel pump rewire, and still nothing. It turns over but doesnt get fuel or spark. I am at my wits end and about ready to use it for target practice. Any help would be appreciated.
ANSWER: Matt: With no spark it could be that your timing belt is broke. The engine will still turn over but just not start. But also would have the car coded, AutoZone will do this for free, it would rule out any problem with the computer or sensors. Other ones. Surely if you rebuild your motor you did a tune up too. But then with no stark and no fuel; I would be checking that timing belt and could be you should have your computer reset, as it might be stuck on a bad sensor when that sensor is new now. I hope this helps and good luck! Linda

QUESTION: yes the timing belt has been off a couple of times in the last 2 months, so it is good. The car is no way drivable, is there a easy way to reset the computer.

Answer
Matt: Ok, the timing belt has been off a few times, did you get it set right to the marks. They are often very hard to see, if that is off even a bit; the car will not start. Take the neg. cable off the battery for 10 minutes and then put it back on. That is to reset the computer. Hope this helps and good luck! Linda :o)
