Mitsubishi Repair: eclipse/talon, laser transmission, ford mustang

I have a 93 eclipse gs 2.0L non turbo and a 91 laser 1.8L non turbo can i put the laser transmission in my eclipse. do they still match even though the motors are different?

Jerry: I don't think you can do this, unless you want to rebuild the two to make them work. You need to go out and buy yourself a repair manual and see what all this would take. My brother put a Ford Mustang motor into a MG, so you sure can change things around if you want to do this. But you have to be willing to rebuild things and more over know what you are doing. You could get a repair manual for your car at any parts store for around $20.00. I don't they will match. Oh wait, I just got told if the cars are between the years of 1990 and 1994 then they would go together. So I guess it will work, I am sorry. So hope this helps and good luck!
