Mitsubishi Repair: 1996 radio code, mitsubishi dealership, radio code

The radio code in the manual says 5383, but this doesn't work.  The radio serial #mr193959, serial #95b10922.  Can you give me the code?

Darci: This might sound nuts to you, but try it... you must turn your key to the on position and the leave the driver's door open for 30 minutes. This will reset the radio to accept the code. And if it does not work for your car, you will have to call a Mitsubishi dealership and give them what you gave me, they should give you the code over the phone. Don't let them try to tell you, they need the car or the radio to get that code. Because they will just call a place and get it for you. If this does not work, write me again and I shall see what I can do to help you. But I need the name and model of the car. Hope this helps and good luck!
