Mitsubishi Repair: Mitsubishi Eclipse problems, camshaft position sensor, mitsubishi eclipse

We have a 1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse 1.8 Ltr. Does the Camshaft Position Sensor control each individual injector? We have 1 injector that is not working.

Laura: The camshaft position sensor detects the dead point in the number 1 and number 4 cylinder compression stroke, converts the pulse signal and sends the information to the ECM. From here the ECM determines the firing order. Hope this helps and good luck!
