Mitsubishi Repair: engine, mitsubishi gallant, head gasket

Question
Mitsubishi gallant 2004 bought it use with 16K miles had the car for 2 yrs I now have over the 70K miles. My question I was told that I need an engine but Mitsubishi does not have a rebuild engine cause the car is only 2yrs old. I have 3 more yrs to pay off the car. I can't get any one to look at the car when I had the car towed they was going to charge me over $5K for a rebuild engine. Do you have any suggestions. Mitsubishi tells me that they can't help me does this car have 100k power train. I am not the owner of the car.

Answer
Nakia: Who told you that you need a new engine, if so what was the reasons for this? I mean 70k is not a lot of miles on an engine. If it turns out you need some work done on your engine, have it rebuilt. I mean whatever is wrong with the engine can be repaired. And it would a lot cheaper to go that way then buy a different engine. Is the head gasket in the engine leaking, are you getting oil in the water or what. I can not understand why you would need a different engine with such a newer car and low miles. I would be asking more questions about this car, why you need a different engine? What is wrong with it? Then maybe you should be finding a lawyer to help you with this. Some things does not make sense to me. I can not understand why Mitsubishi will not help you. So you need to ask more questions and see what is told you. What is $5k? I do not understand that amount. Kind of a redneck here from Iowa, not always so good with math and all. But still I just don't get this. Something is not adding up, you did not push the car to hard? Over heat it or something like that? Not check the oil or what? Can you answer some of my questions and then maybe I can help you out more. Wish I could do more and have a good week.
