Mitsubishi Repair: mitsubishi eclipse, mitsubish eclipse, mitsubishi eclipse

Question
I just bought a mitsubish eclipse, and everytime i put in a fuse to work the tail lights, the fuse blows. sometimes it may work for a while but like when i start the car or shift gears the fuse blows. Do you have any idea what could cause this?

Answer
Ray: Hey, you have a short someplace. In that the wire that runs to the tail lights is touching the body or something made of steel. So the fuse blows to save the wiring. Either get a repair manual at any parts store for around $20.00, check out the wiring diagrams and find the short yourself. Or take your car to a shop. Sometimes those shorts are hard to find. But they can be fixed. Hope this helps and good luck!
