Good day! I would like to ask what are the possible problems of my car.
1. Hard to start or long cranking before it the engine starts specially when engine is cold.
2. When engine starts, idle reads almost ZERO. If you will not step on the gas pedal the engine will die. Sometimes, idle plays from 400-100rpm. The looks loke catching its breath after start up.
3. Sometimes, running performance is smooth or rough.

Please advice what could have been the cause and solution.

Ely: Hello. I hope I can help you. My repair manual says this for when an engine is hard to start when cold... 1.Battery discharged or low. 2. Malfunction fuel system. 3. Injector(s)leaking. 4. Distributor rotor carbon tracked. I would also have your car coded some of that sounds like a weak sensor/s someplace in your engine. But having it coded would rule out that as well as a computer going bad. Mitsubishi farmed out the building of their computers to another company. And that company did not build very good ones, when the computer starts to go it shows up in things like your car is doing. But coding the car would show if everything was running ok or not. AutoZone will code your car for free. Also when is the last time you did a good tune up on the car? Might think about doing that too. I hope this helps you in finding your problems with your car.
