Question
I have a montero 1990 and for the last three weeks when I drive it stalls on me I changed the gas filter and if I don't warm it up for about 10 minutes it stalls sometimes at night I can't seem to start it at all the next day it starts I don't know if it is the fuel pump or the electronic ignition or the module can you please help me with this problem; my friend tells me it could be the electronic ignition or the fuel sencer.

Answer
Israel: When is the last time you did a good tune up on this car? How old is the battery? To rule out any bad or weak sensors, take your car to an AutoZone and they will code it for free. There is a sensor in the disbtritor that could be your problem. My book says could be loose or faulty electrical connections at distributor, coil or alternator, fuel not reaching the fuel injector(s), vacuum leak, ignition components damp or damaged, worn, faulty stark plugs, loose wires at th ignition coil or faulty coil. I took these right out of my repair manual. Hope you find the problem, other wise take the car to a shop and let them do that for you. Hope this helps and good luck!
