Mitsubishi Repair: 97 MITSUBISHI GALANT, mitsubishi galant, egr sensor

Question
I JUST HAD MY EGR VALVE REPLACED AT THE DEALERSHIP FRIDAY.  THE PAST COUPLE OF DAYS WHEN I CRANK UP THE CAR AND IT'S SITTING AT IDLE IT ACTS LIKE IT WILL CUT OFF. THE NEEDLE TO WARN FOR TRANSMISSION OVER HEATING, WILL DROP WHEN CAR ACTS LIKE WILL CUT OFF THEN  WILL POP BACK UP, THEN DO IT AGAIN.  I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD BE.

Answer
Michelle: Take it back to the shop that did your work. Could be there is a sensor out or getting weak. Or else they did not do their work right. Because there is a EGR sensor that detects the temperature of the exhaust as it moves through the EGR valve. They need to fix this problem. You paid them good money to get your car fixed now make them do their job and get your car right. Hope this helps and good luck!
