Mitsubishi Repair: TF Magna turning off, good computers, autozone

Question
Hi, i have a TF '97 Magna 4cyl, Auto. recently its been having some problems.
it would start fine, then drive for about 10 minutes and turn off (whether I'm driving or idle). after this, it would won't start for like 20 minutes. after 20 minutes, it would start as normal and would drive without problems.
this only happens when my car has been off for more than 3 hours.
my usual mechanic can't find what the source of the problem is, he is starting to think it may be the alternator?
Thanks in advance!

Answer
An: I guess your mechanic could change the alternator. But all the alternator really does is keep things charged as the car runs down the road. And well the battery too. But I think you should have your car coded, could be a weak sensor someplace. Or your computer is acting up. You know don't you that Mitsubishi farmed the building of their computers out to another company. Who did not build very good computers, with time a piece in that computer will start to leak on other parts of the computer and so the computer starts to mess up. One of the things that shows up with the computer going is problems you are talking about. But again I am not saying it is your computer, it could be. But if you have an AutoZone close by, they will code your car for free and that would either show something or remove that idea from the problem. You need three things to keep that car engine running, air, fuel and stark. But the computer has to get all the input from all the sensors all over your engine then set things together in a matter of seconds. So if something get off or the computer is having problems. Well things go hey wire. Another idea would be a vaccum leak? Is your fuel pump putting out enough fuel? Hope this helps and good luck!
